Return Eligibility

We want you to feel confident trying The Color Leaf products.
Eligible items may be returned within 15 days of delivery.

Free 7-Day Return Window (Canada Only)

Customers in Canada may qualify for free return shipping if the return request is submitted within 7 days from the date the customer receives the order and the item meets all eligibility requirements below.

To qualify for a free return:

  • The product must remain in excellent, like-new condition
  • Products must be free from paint, polish, stains, scratches, bends, tears, damage, or visible signs of salon use
  • The protective plastic seal may be opened for inspection purposes only
  • Opened products must still be returned in excellent resalable condition
  • All original packaging, accessories, and inserts must be included
  • Return requests must be approved before shipping the item back

Products showing signs of use, painting, customization, modification, excessive handling, or salon use are not eligible for free returns or refunds.

Returns After 7 Days

Returns requested after the 7-day free return window may still be accepted within 15 days of delivery; however, return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer.

U.S. & International Orders

Free return shipping is not available for U.S. or international orders. Customers outside Canada are responsible for all return shipping costs.
Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

How to Return an Item

1. Contact Us First

Please email support@thecolorleaf.com to request return authorization.
Please include your order number and the reason for return.

Include:

  • Your order number
  • The reason for your return
  • Photos of the item if requested

Returns sent without prior approval may be refused.

2. Prepare Your Package

Carefully pack the item(s) with:

  • A copy of your invoice
  • Your email address

A short note explaining the return reason (optional)

If you don’t have the original packaging, please use a sturdy box or padded envelope. Items damaged in return transit will not be eligible for refund.

3. Labeling for U.S. & International Returns

To help avoid customs charges and delays, please declare the package as:

  • Description:
    “Used printed materials – return”
  • Declared Value:
    $0.05 USD per item

Failure to declare the package properly may result in duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges that will be the responsibility of the customer.

4. Return Shipping Address

Return instructions and the return address will be provided by email after your return request has been approved.

We recommend using:

  • USPS for U.S. returns
  • Canada Post for Canadian returns

Customers are responsible for ensuring the return package arrives safely.

Refunds

If the returned product is accepted (unused and undamaged), we will refund the purchase price including tax (excluding original shipping fees) to your original payment method.

  • Refunds may take up to 30 days to process and reflect on your card

  • You’ll receive an email confirmation once your return is processed

  • Your bank may take up to 7 business days to post the refund

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you’d like a different item, please return the original and place a new order.
